Words aren't good enough to describe how awesome it was seeing Sonata Arctica in concert Saturday night. There were just... amazing. I want to see them again and again and again. I'm so jealous of those who have seen them so many times!!

But I got a Sonata Arctica shirt while I was there, since it's hard to find such awesome merchandise locally. And the shirt has a pirate ship on it, and it the design matches my hair color quite perfectly. Meant to be? I think so!!

Back home!

Finals were loads of fun! I actually like finals week, lol. I already know that I ended up with A's in two of my classes. And I think I pulled off A's in two others, it's just the last one which is a toss-up but I'm hoping for B+/A-! I had to write a 7 page final for that class.. and even though it was take home, it sucked all the same, lol. But I think I did alright on it.

Anyway, enough of that school crap!

It's nice being back home. We had a family game night Saturday. A whole bunch of cousins, aunts, and uncles came over to play all sorts of board games. That was pretty fun.

I went shopping a bit, to get presents. I was only able to find presents for my dog and my sister, heh. But I did get ingredients to make jars of hot fudge, which I could use for presents as well. So I made the hot fudge today, and it turned out well!

I'm getting really anxious for the Sonata Arctica concert next month, I've been listening to them nonstop lately! Great stuff.

*headbangs*

Done.

~Raiyne~

Went to see a hypnotist friday! He was awesome, as usual. I've seen him a couple times before as well. He did some fun stuff. Some people were convinced that their butts were gone, others were listening to music coming from their shoes, one girl thought she was the chief of the fun police, and one guy was the friend of all fruit! Hah, and at one point he had most of them believing they were in a dance competition, and this one girl shook her ass for me.. I was in the front row, and she definitely pointed right at me and proceeded to turn around and shake her ass right in front of me. I was like.. err... ok, lol. Another guy was hypnotized to be a CMU cheerleader who forgets the mascot, and he made up new mascots for Central Michigan: Aliens, Indians, and then Infants. It was pretty funny, he was making odd sounds and crawling onthe ground.. silly!

Next week is finals.. I'm not too terribly worried about them, I never am. I just try to keep calm about it and I always end up doing well on them. No sense stressing over nothing. I just take them one at a time, only worrying about the nearest one. After exams, I'll probably be heading home. I'm going to take my comp home this break because I'm somewhat addicted to an online game that I have on this comp, lol. I think it'll be a good break, and next semester should be fun. I'm taking 3 geography courses, a law class, and an english class. Four classes are with Jake, and the other is with my buddy Brian. So having a study buddy always helps.

I think that'll do for now, I'll try to update more often after finals are over. I've just been too overwhelmed with projects and what not to update much lately, but I will soon! =P

Later

~Raiyne~

    <lj:music>Iced Earth - Watching Over Me</lj:music>

Let's see, what's worth updating about...

I started the babysitting 2 weeks ago. It's gone well so far! I babysit about 12 hrs a week, so that's cool. The kids are adorable! Babysitting means waking up at 7am every day, though! That took a little adjusting, but it's working out. The first week of babysitting, I ended up getting sick on that Thursday night after babysitting. Their family had had a bug going around the week before, so I think I caught it from them. It definitely sucked, it was some sort of a flu. I hadn't been sick like that (throwing up) since high school, so it's been 4 years! So, I wasn't enjoying it at all. I basically slept that whole weekend, the bug was less than 24 hours, but it left me exhausted! I was wakin up every 2 hours at least. Being sick sucks! Well, obviously. But Chad took care of me, he's so sweet! Thanks again, hon, love ya!

Chad's birthday is this weekend, so he's comin to Mt P to celebrate! That should be a lot of fun. =D

Hmm.. On Halloween, Chad and I went to a local show. It was pretty cool. The Final Chapter was really good! The rest of the bands weren't that great, lol.

I really need to find people around here to hang out with. I've started talking to a couple people around here, but I need to hang out more. Living in this apartment alone can get very lonely at times!

I've still been riding my bike to classes! It's starting to get frustrating though, because muscles tend not to work as well in the cold, lol. So I'll probably stop biking soon and fork some money over for a parking permit. I hope the permit will be cheaper, I was hoping to save money by putting off buying it until late in the semester! 175 bucks seemed way to much to pay to park on campus. I wish these apartments had the ICTC bus come take us to class! Oh well, biking hasn't been too bad. The exercise is good, heh.

I don't think there's anything else important to say!

~Raiyne~

Iced Earth - Watching Over Me
I had a friend many years ago
One tragic night he died
The saddest time of my life
For weeks and weeks I cried
Through the anger and through the tears
I've felt his spirit through the years
I'd swear, He's watching me
Guiding me through hard times

I feel it once again
It's overwhelming me
His spirit's like the wind
The angel guarding me
Oh, I know, oh, I know
He's watching over me

We shared dreams like all best friends
Blood brothers at the age of ten
We lived reckless, he paid the price
But why? Why did he have to die?
It still hurts me to this day
Am I selfish for feeling this way?
I know he's an angel now
Together we'll be someday

I feel it once again
It's overwhelming me
His spirit's like the wind
The angel guarding me
Oh, I know, oh, I know
He's watching over me

Yikes!! I don't update much anymore!

I've been quite busy. I worked a clothing sale for a week, it was only a week thing, but I got myself 100 bucks, a nice shirt, and some notebooks for a week's worth of work.

Last week was midterms! I had 4 exams. One of them was two parts, and one was a take home exam... you'd think that'd be a good thing, but it was torture. I had to write 5-7 pages on some british literature. I don't know what to expect for a grade on that.. hopefully nothing too bad. The rest of the exams weren't too bad. I didn't really study for any of them.. I feel I have the gift of not having to study to get good grades, it's crazy, but it seems to work for the most part.

This coming week I get to babysit!! I'm very excited about that. I'm babysitting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:45am to 12:15pm for my buddy Jake. It's going to be fun! His kids are adorable. One is almost three, and the other is almost 6 months old! Sooo cute. Babysitting will be a good way for me to make a couple bucks. Just enough to pay the bills and buy groceries.. So that should help out a whole lot! Plus, it'll be a ton of fun, they're so cute!

I've been trying to figure out my schedule for next semester. I'm probably taking all of my classes with Jake, it's sure nice to have a friend with the exact same major and minor!! It's going to be a shitload of geography.. I've already finished up all of the math I need for my major, but now I basically have just geography classes to take.. lots of them! Oh well, I guess that can't be tooo bad! =P

Well, I don't think I have anything else to say. I'll try to update more! lol.

~Raiyne~

Yesterday was my 21st birthday!!! YAY!

Peg had come over Friday night, so he was here the whoooole weekend! Saturday night I had a couple people over at my place. Jake came by and us three played some cards. We were playing this weird card game I have, then we started playing Street. Jake got by without having to drink at all, then Peg played and had to drink around 7 drinks (not shots, just a drink/sip of whatever).. then I played.. and of course I ended up having to drink 40 drinks.. and in very little time.. Then Nate got here a little before 10. Sometime after that Jish and Drew came by. We were playing a whole bunch of card games. Nate was fencing with the neighbors across the parking lot, haha. That was kinda funny. We all played some President and Asshole, and I played another game of Street... and majorly lost again. So... I guess I drank too much, too fast. But it was my 21st birthday, so I guess that's what happens. I don't drink often, especially that much, but I figured.. hey.. it's my 21st bday, gotta celebrate it the usual way. Katie and Melissa stopped by.. but I didn't get the chance to say hey to them, cuz I was otherwise occupied as Melissa put it, lol. Oh well, I'm glad they showed up! =D I can remember everything that happened that night, so that's a plus. It was a lot of fun. They're all really cool people! They kept calling me Drunk-o though! =P

Anyway, Sunday Rudge came by. So Peg, Rudge, Jake and his family, and I went to applebee's cuz I wanted to get my free birthday dessert! It was good food. I didn't feel entirely good, so I didn't want to go out and do anything. So we sat in and watched Pitch Black later that night.

All in all, I had a really good birthday. I realized how much Peg must love me in order to take care of me like he did! He is such a sweet heart. I love him so much. He's a keeper! ;) Thanks for making my birthday great, hon! And thanks especially for taking such awesome care of me! Love you!!!!!

Not much else to say for now!

~Raiyne~

Had first exam of the semester today. It's always fun when the exam is absolutely nothing like the study guide. Why in the world do profs do that!? GAR! Oh well, it was a group exam too, but one part was a bit of a pain. She posted grades already, I think we got a 79.. which is decent enough considering that we didn't really get the answer for that one. But I was expecting better.

My birthday is this Sunday! I'll finally be 21. I'm not sure exactly what I'll be doing for my bday though. It's all under debate, hah. But Peg and Rudge will be visiting and a couple buddies seem like they'll wanna do something. We'll see, I guess. I'm just excited to run around town getting free shit. Gotta love free birthday meals, desserts, and drinks.

I have another exam this Thursday, and I have a paper due next Monday.. the day after my bday. I'm going to try to work on that paper thursday and friday because I don't want to have to worry about it over the weekend! I also have to read "Pride and Prejudice" for my English class. It's good so far.

I love this song. lol.

Yeah, I'm out of things to say!

~Rachel~

Peg came to see me Sunday!! That was exciting! He is such a sweetheart! I love him so much!!

Nothing else that exciting happened last week...

Today was a very long day. I was stuck in classes from 8am - 2pm, then I had a couple meetings on campus, but all the way on the other side of campus. So I had to walk all over campus. I didn't get back to the apartment til after 4. And it was quite hot and humid outside. It's a pain riding my bike when it's so hot and humid and after such a long day like that. Plus, I hadn't eaten anything but a granola bar and some grapes all day. So I just wanted to get home, not bike ride in the heat! haha, oh well. Anyway, I met with my academic advisor so that I could figure out about getting into the teacher education program next semester. I'm going at a slower pace than I would have hoped, but that's ok, teacher ed students usually go 5 years anyway.. it'll be fine. I also have to sign a minor.. I think I've put that off for far to long, lol. But I have to pick between a small list of subjects because of the math major that I have. So I have to pick history, geography, english, reading, or language arts. I think I'm going with language arts.. just because the required classes seemed the least boring.. but they might end up being somewhat hard.. so I don't know!!! That would mean that all of next semester's classes are going to be english, or at least under the english minor!! Yikes! So much english! I'm going to try to avoid taking more than 2 or 3 reading/writing classes though, because that might be too much work. There seemed to be a couple that wouldn't involve any of that, so it should work fine! =D I think I'll worry about figuring that out this weekend.

This weekend I am going to visit Peg! YAY! It'll be a great weekend, as usual!

Then the NEXT weekend is my birthday weekend! Finally going to be 21!! I'm counting down the days! 11!!!!!! I'm still figuring out exactly what I'll be doing for my birthday, but it'll be fun and Peg will be there.. that much I know! =D Peg said he'll take care of me as I get trashed.. isn't he sweet? lol. Loooove you, babe!!

Anyway, I'm tired, I'm going to go to sleep now!

~Raiyne~

Renaissance Festival was awesome!! We saw Ded Bob again, haha, he's funny. And we also saw Nommobugunte again.. they're this drum and dance group, it was really cool. We saw Ric Roc, he's hilarious. And I got my hair done again! Peg took a few pics, but I haven't gotten around to uploading them to the comp yet, maybe I'll post them when I do!! I put Peg in jail at the festival, lol. He had to sit around in the jail cell for awhile, then make a fool of himself on stage. It was reeeeally cute!!! I love him! He's adorable!

We both headed to Lupton after the festival and I stayed there for a few days before heading to Mt. Pleasant. I got in Mt P yesterday and hooked the computer up and unpacked my last bit of stuff. I have a feeling that I'm going to feel lonely at times this year.. I've never been great at making friends. Whenever I do, they end up disappearing.. they don't usually seem willing to remain friends.. I don't know. But anyway, I'm kinda frustrated about the subleasor thing, cuz Toni left me a voice mail 2 weeks ago saying that she was definitely still interested, but she's not here yet! And she prolly hasn't signed the lease yet. I am going to call her tomorrow though.. I remember her saying that she wouldn't move in til the end of this month, so maybe she's just waiting for her old lease to expire or something.. I don't know!! GRR!!

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to this job fair thing, cuz I really need to get a job up in Mt P this year. I hope that goes well!!

Classes start monday!! I'm actually excited about that.. at least for the moment, lol. I didn't wanna spend money on a parking permit or anything, so I'm going to try to ride my bike to classes.. hah, we'll see how that goes. Any bets on when I'll be getting a parking permit? =P

And by the way, something stung or bit my middle finger, and now it's all swollen and throbbing. And I can't really bend at the top joint! I hate that! I might get some anti-hystemine (yeah, like i have a clue how that's spelled) tomorrow for it. We'll see.

I love Peg!!!

And that's all for now, folks.

~Raiyne~

    <lj:music>Dream Theater - Panic Attack</lj:music>

I have been far too lazy to update lately. I've had things I wanted to update about, I just didn't ever get around to doing so!

I finally started moving stuff into my apartment!! That was exciting. Peg helped me move stuff up there 2 weekends ago. But I still have work down here until this Friday, so I won't permanently move up to my apartment until next week!

I've been spending a ton of time with Peg!! =D He chilled with me that first weekend at my apartment. It was a lot of fun. I cooked him some yummy dinner and everything!!! Then we each headed home on Sunday, but he came down to Trenton on Monday night after work because we had a concert to go to Wednesday!!! The concert was amazing!! Gigantour!!! Dream Theater ROCKS!! I love that band! John Petrucci is so hott, lol, even Peg agrees!! We went to Denny's afterward, and had the absolute worst service EVER! The hostess sat us down and we weren't greeted by our waitress until 20 minutes later... while we were sitting two other groups sat down and received immediate service!! That was bullshit, hah. Then the food wasn't that great. They gave us the food for cheap though, because they knew how much they sucked, lol. But it was a fun couple of days. He was here Monday through Thursday!!!! I love spending that much time with him. And I especially love going to concerts/shows with him!! Some of the first dates that we went on were local shows in Mt P! It's nice being with someone who has such great taste in music!!!

On Friday, I headed to Mt Pleasant to move some more stuff. My parents came up on Saturday to see the apartment and take Jeff's stuff out of the storage locker. Then I headed to Lupton to spend time with Peg!! We watched Meet the Fockers, heh. And we also drank and watched strongbad.. how much better can it get!!?

Only 4 more days left of work!!! I can't wait to go back to school!! And this weekend is going to be awesome too, because Peg is going to be coming down here so we can go to the Renaissance Festival!! It's the Wine, Romance, and Song weekend!! =D Romance? Song? It's almost as if Peg and I HAVE to go to that weekend of the festival! The theme is meant for us, I swear! lol. It's going to be a fun time, I always love the Renaissance Festival. I want to wear this medieval-ish costume I bought a few years ago, but I'm not sure where it is!! So hopefully I find it by this weekend!

Anyway, I guess that's enough updating for now!!

I love Peg!!!! *muah*

~Raiyne~

I had yet another awesome weekend with Peg!!! He's the best! I went up there on Friday and stayed until this morning. We had a lot of fun!! Yesterday we played some putt putt golf. It was great! I cooked him some dinner on Saturday, and I baked him some cookies on Sunday, lol. I've been in a cooking mood lately! It all turned out yummy though!! =D It was a great weekend, as expected! We went for a walk in the woods one of the days. I really like going for walks once in awhile. There were a lot of bugs though, we both have a lot of bug bites now! But it was worth it! I can't wait to see him this coming weekend again!!!!

I'm going to head to Mt Pleasant this weekend so that I can start moving the stuff into my apartment. I've had to make a ton of phone calls to switch utilities and whatever into my name. I called the apartment office today, and they said the girl hasn't gone in to sign the lease yet... the lady last week said that Toni said she'd be in Friday.. but I guess she wasn't. I've tried to call her, but I don't get an answer... I hope she's not bailing on me! =( I don't know what I'd do if that were the case. *sigh* Oh well. I'm still going up there this weekend. Peg is going to visit and help me move stuff Saturday and Sunday!! He's such a sweetheart!!

Then we'll both head back to our homes on Sunday. The next week Peg is coming to visit Tuesday night through Thursday night!! There's a concert we really want to go to that Wednesday: Gigantour! That's going to be one awesome concert! =D I can't wait! We haven't gone to a concert or show in quite some time, so this'll be amazing!

I think that's all for now!!!

I love you!!

~Rachel~

That was fun. Had a couple drinks with the parents, my dad's buddy Jack, and Jack's daughter Jackie and her boyfriend. I went to school with Jackie from elementary to HS graduation, and I bowled on a few leagues with her too. It was pretty fun hanging out and drinking with everyone. Haven't seen them in awhile. Fun times.

Anyway, jury duty wasn't bad at all. I was only there for two and a half hours! And I still get paid the 25 bucks, heh. It was nice, I'm so glad we all got out of there early! I felt a little sick afterward though. My neck and back are killing me, and I have a bit of a headache and sore throat... =( Hopefully it's just cuz I woke up early and that it'll be better tomorrow! *crosses fingers*

Tomorrow I'm going to see Peg!!! I love visiting him!! He has to work all weekend though.. that's a bummer, lol. But I get to hang out with him after work every day, so I guess it's all good. Plus, the weekend after this, he and I are supposed to go up to Mt Pleasant. He's helping me move into my apartment! I am SOOOOO excited about the apartment! I'm hoping to make Peg dinner as a "thank you" for helping me move in and cuz next Wednesday is our 1 year and 3 month anniversary! =D YAY! I loooooove you, Peg!

I think I'm going to put some fake tear eyedrops in my eyes now, cuz they're feeling a little dry.
